So, I know this is coming out on Thanksgiving in the USA and many of you may not see it until next week, but I did not want to let the holiday pass without taking time to acknowledge how grateful I am this year for all the things!
First, and not even close to anything else I am thankful for, is my family. My unbelievably supportive husband, Aaron - who, when I said I was thinking about starting Hardin Heights Communications, LLC responded with, "I think that’s great, I’ve thought you were ready for this for a long time!" Heck, I didn’t even know I was ready for it. That kind of love and belief is what you want in a partner. Don't settle for less when you are out there. He’s amazing, and I thank God every day for bringing him to me nearly 25 years ago.

And, my girls - I mean they are all I could hope for in kids. I am so proud of them both. They are smart, independent, kind and thoughtful women. I am so glad I am their mom. They are becoming all the good we see in the world - I have so much hope for our future because of how amazing they are.

To my extended family on both sides - to all the Parsons & Hardins - I’m so glad you are mine!
I am also blessed to have an incredible group of friends that I have collected over many years - some from different jobs, some from my neighborhood, and a crew who are from the ups and downs of soccer momming. I am lucky to have you all - and I hope at some point I can give back to each of you what you have given me over the years.

I also have my health, as does my family, and for that, I thank God, science and good luck. I know this is not in my control, but I am grateful nonetheless. Tied to my good health, I would be remiss if I didn’t say thank you to Satsung Yoga Studio. - because, In the spring of last year, Aaron said to me, “Laura, you need to go do something for your mental health. Join a gym, or go do yoga, and find an outlet. You are going to explode if you don’t channel your energy.” When I suggested we needed to save money - he said we can always find enough to keep our family sane. That day, I found my yoga haven and it’s been transformational for me. I go 4-5 days most weeks and it’s saving me in so many ways. I’m stronger, calmer, happier, centered, and more in control of my mental health than at any other time in my life!

Lastly, but certainly not the least, I am thankful for everyone who has said, done, or helped me launch my business this year. I’ve dreamed of doing this for a long time, but never felt it was the right time. This last year has been a LOT. So many ups and downs - it felt like an extra amount of downs from the time I was told my position was being eliminated, then facing so much rejection while looking for a job.
I could not have pulled through it all without my people - so thank you all. Turns out, I have not only made it through 2024, but I am happier today than I have ever been.
This was the exact right move for me and I am sure I am on the right path.
I am certain I’ve missed people, organizations, or areas of my life that deserve better - but as I think of them, I will try to give them a direct shout-out or thank you in time.
For those of you reading, thank you! I am glad you are here and I love you for your support. Happy Thanksgiving - I wish joy, happiness, and love to you all.
